Welcome back to our podcast!
In today’s episode we put the spotlight on an interesting public health project, Brothers Thrive. This project was launched on 23rd April in New York and aims to provide mental health support to black men. Members of black community groups will be trained in mental health first aid to enable them to get out into their community to raise awareness and provide support.
In this episode we summarise this project and explain why there is a need to focus on mental health in the black community by looking at mental health data from the US, UK, the Caribbean and Nigeria.
