Dr Fanta Waterman

Fanta Waterman PhD, MPH is an award-winning researcher who is passionate about making health literacy achievable for everyone and investigating opportunities to improve the health and quality of life of underserved populations. 

Launching her career in Public Health Systems and Services Research (PHSSR), Dr. Waterman has held positions in local government agencies, consulting firms, non-profits, large manufacturers, and start-ups.

With numerous publications, Dr. Waterman is also a seasoned lecturer, having taught as an adjunct Associate Professor within the City University of New York from 2008 to 2013.

Dr Josephine Claxton-Richardson

Dr. Josephine Claxton-Richardson holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. As Director of St Kitts Spectrum Services Centre and a Certified Autism Specialist, she boasts over 30 years of experience managing mental health and disability operations. Dr. Claxton-Richardson is a passionate advocate for autism and conducts workshops on various aspects. She’s actively involved in school observations, providing valuable recommendations for children with autism. Her extensive knowledge informs comprehensive services in inclusive education and mental health support. Dr Claxton-Richardson is also a board member of Lake Health and Wellbeing

Mrs Abi Begho

Abi is an award-winning scientist and also the Founder of Lake Health and Wellbeing (formerly The Lake Foundation) which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of its local, regional and online community through research, Public Health interventions, events, campaigns and offering Public Health services to small organisations. She started her career in the pharmaceutical industry and has over 15 years of experience in health, research and public health fields.  

Abi is also very passionate about giving back to her community and over the years has volunteered with numerous health charities in the UK. Abi holds a BSc. in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham, a MSc. in Clinical Biochemistry with Molecular Biology from the University of Surrey and a Masters in Public Health from King’s College. 

Ms Michelle Sutton

Michelle earned her Bachelor of Physical and Health Education with further graduate studies in Health Education and certification in Holistic Nutrition. Michelle is currently the Ministry of Education’s Health and Wellness Curriculum Coordinator, where she feels  she can support the development of a strong foundation in health and wellness for children and young people. Michelle is also a Registered Massage Therapist and has been involved in health wellness all her life.

Michelle is passionate about supporting the development of a strong foundation in health and wellness for children and young people.

Mr Oyehmi Begho

Oyehmi is an educational IT consultant, animator, software developer, and children’s author, who is passionate about education and information communication technology (ICT).

Oyehmi holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science, an M.A. in the use of ICT in Education and is also a qualified teacher. This and his professional expertise as a change management consultant has grounded him well in both the public and private sector over the last 20 years.

He is a recipient of the Etisalat Award for Innovation and the AR-CSR Sustainable Solution Showcase Award and recently his children’s book series was nominated for the prestigious NLNG Literature award.

Oyehmi appreciates the power of technology but also has a deeper understanding of its limitations, and thus brings a much-needed balance to technology-based designs and solutions.  He leads on all IT related work which includes our use of technology and innovation to communicate health messages, identify  health risk and creatively engage young people.
